Children's trip to the Ponyschänke

   

To mark the 50th anniversary of the school Kielkamp, a school for severely disabled children and young people of different age classes, our coaches have been hired on 4 May 2011 for a trip of 100 students, including 20 wheelchair users and 60 additional supervisors. With a large number of disabled coaches and specialty vehicles for wheelchair users Stambula has a great reputation far beyond Hamburg. Every day, we transport about 500 children and youth with various disabilities to more than 50 school tours on behalf of the City of Hamburg. Many years of experience and current trainings stand out our drivers in dealing with this group of people.

The trip is aimed at the "Ponyschänke" in the forest of Klövensteen. Two coaches with hydraulic platform and three Sprinter vans with wheelchair ramp were ready at 9:30 a.m. at the school. A full event day awaited the excited children, considering that in everyday life only limited possibilities for the transport are available for many of them in their free time. Throughout the day cheerful children's voices echoed through the forest. Most could ride for the first time on a pony. The program was rounded off by several games and also for food and beverages was of course provided. "An indescribably great feeling is to look into so many cheerful children's eyes", reported our local operational coordinator Andreas Flemming, which provided for the smooth flow of transport. Against 3 p.m. all were cared back safely and securely from our drivers back at the school. The next excursion with the bus from STAMBULA is already bookmarked. When and where will still show.
